Abstract
This thesis explores the intersection of interactive narrative and flow state immersion, focusing on how video game design can address themes of trauma, resilience, and post-traumatic growth. Using a 2D action platformer game titled Star-Woven Fate: The Golden Knight as a case study, the research examines gameplay mechanics, narrative structures, and artistic elements inspired by works such as Hollow Knight and Dark Souls. The game serves as both an engaging experience and a metaphorical exploration of overcoming adversity through perseverance. Through innovative design and storytelling, the study highlights how games can create immersive environments that promote emotional growth and understanding.
