Abstract
In the spring semester of 2022, I was one of the students selected to assist Lindenwood University faculty members Dr. James Hutson and Professor Ben Fulcher to develop a minimum viable product virtual reality game, Museum of the Lost VR. This PRIDE grant funded project is an example of how VR and gamification techniques can play a powerful role in post-secondary education. Museum of the Lost VR is an immersive learning experience in which the player discovers the history of several artistic pieces as they navigate a museum to repatriate works. This approach blends the engagement of gameplay with traditional academic teaching methods to reinforce the intended learning objectives. The gamification technique was reinforced and measured through the use of quizzes based on the materials covered in each level.
