About This Journal

The Journal of Educational Leadership in Action (ELA) is a peer-reviewed, open-access scholarly publication providing a global platform for dissemination of rigorous research and evidence-based practices in the broader context of education and educational leadership. Published by the College of Education and Human Services at Lindenwood University, ELA serves as a resource for scholars, practitioners, and policymakers committed to advancing educational leadership discourse and practice.

The journal publishes original scholarship across a diverse spectrum of educational leadership domains, including but not limited to: educational administration, instructional leadership, curriculum development, assessment methodologies, adult learning theory, higher education leadership, international educational contexts, and technology. ELA publishes two issues a year, each fall and spring, while accepting high-quality manuscript submissions on a rolling basis throughout the academic year unless a specific due date for an upcoming issue is published.

Through its commitment to open access, ELA ensures that scholarship in educational leadership remains accessible to a global audience, thereby supporting knowledge for all and the advancement of evidence-informed leadership practice across diverse educational settings.
