Abstract
My poster presentation is an in-depth explanation and discussion of what translation of languages is. It defines what translation is and what performing a translation entails. It explains how there are many common misconceptions about translations and attempts to disprove them. This in-depth discussion of translation factors such as language identity, culture acceptance, political factors, and much more aid in explaining how translations can be used for good and for bad. Translations can be used to break language and cultural barriers but they can also be used to divide people. It is up to the translator and those in power to decide.
