Abstract
Prior to the adoption of the 26th Amendment to the United States Constitution (lowering the voting age from 21 to 18) Lindenwood College hosted several mock political conventions for students from multiple regional colleges. In 1948, the guest speaker was Ohio Senator Robert Taft. Taft was running for the Republican nomination for President. Taft lost to Governor Thomas Dewey. This recording is several excerpts of that speech compiled together into one file.
