Abstract
This deed records the sale of 80 arpens of land situated on the hill near the town of St. Charles, Missouri Territory, from Uriah J. and Betsy J. Devore to George C. Sibley for the sum of $800. The property is described as being bounded on the north by land lately possessed by Daniel Colgan and on the south by a 120-arpen tract previously purchased by Sibley. The document notes that the land was originally inhabited and owned by Nicholas Coons prior to December 1803.
