Abstract

This conclusion makes three suggestions for Composition instructors learning to use AI in their classrooms. First, instructors are advised to seek out AI partners on campus, other faculty attempting to incorporate AI in their pedagogy as well – as staff and institutional centers such as writing centers that can share insights into AI and become a community of practitioners. Second, Composition instructors are given suggestions for how to maintain awareness of developments in AI technology. A habit of mind open to experiment is encouraged as the best way to stay up to date. Finally, the conclusion reminds readers of the importance of choosing an optimistic outlook on AI. This is a simple but easily forgotten requirement of building AI effectively into one’s pedagogical practice.
