Abstract
It was to be expected that some of the so-called curriculum "experts" who have all along disparaged the classical languages would condemn them as even more superfluous in the space age. Forced to admit the importance of modern languages as media of communication with our foreign friends and enemies, these "experts" ask with a supercilious shrug, "But who converses in Greek or Latin?"
