Long before digital timelines and curated feeds, Lindenwood students documented their college years through the physical scrapbooks preserved in this collection. Operating as a form of early 20th-century pre-social media, these personal volumes capture the social networks and daily realities of campus life directly from the students' own perspectives.
Rather than formal institutional records, these scrapbooks are highly personal assemblages. Within these pages, students gathered candid photographs of friends and local excursions, preserved playbills from theater and musical performances, and compiled physical contact registries where classmates left parting notes. Together, these artifacts provide an unfiltered, student-driven history of the Lindenwood experience.
Due to the fragility of these books, some items could not be scanned.
