Caroline Casper was a finalist in the Glimmer Train 2017 Fiction Open contest, and her work appears in Carve Magazine and The Rumpus. Her short story “Eminence” was nominated for a Pushcart Prize in 2014, and won first place in the 2014 storySouth Million Writers Award. Caroline attended the Bread Loaf Writers’ Conference, and won a residency at the Vermont Studio Center in 2015. She works as an adjunct professor of writing and literature at Menlo College, and as the head of content at Hippo Reads. Caroline received a Master of Fine Arts in creative writing from the University of San Francisco, and studied with Amy Hempel, Jim Shepard, Rebecca Solnit and Jane Hirshfield. She lives in the San Francisco Bay area with her husband and her two-year-old daughter.
