Experiential Education in Nonprofit Management Curriculum: Assumption or Oversight?

Abstract

This presentation includes research related to experiential learning as a best/promising practice, data from nonprofit employers regarding “must have” skills for entry-level hires, as well as results from and priorities of the National Survey of Student Engagement related to High Impact Practices (specifically, Learning Communities and Service Learning). Useful examples of effective experiential educational practices in nonprofit management curricula are also provided.
