Can Intelligence Explain Economic Outcomes?

Abstract
Human capital, that combination of innate skill and training, is a key factor used to explain economic outcomes, such as economic growth. This talk will consider the use of IQ, measured at the national level, as a proxy for human capital. It also will survey empirical findings that use nation-level IQ. It turns out that aggregate intelligence may be more important than your own.
