Dan Burkhead won the 2009 Jean Fields Award for his poems and still likes to brag about it. He vows never to take himself too seriously (the one cardinal sin of poetry, in his opinion) and hopes you’ll remember his name when he inevitably becomes a literary phenomenon known the world over, which should be just any day now.
